Teen birthday in Geneva: gifting Virtual Room's virtual reality
A headset, a shared mission, up to 10 players per hour: enough to make a teen birthday memorable.

At a glance — the Virtual Room gift voucher comes in CHF 90, 120 or 140, valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, stackable and usable across several visits. The experience is played with up to 10 players per hour, as a team, and starts from age 8 — enough to cover most groups of teenagers.
Finding a birthday present that really appeals to a teenager is never a sure thing. An object ends up in a drawer; an experience lived together, on the other hand, stays in conversations long after the candles are blown out. Virtual Room ticks that box: a headset, a shared mission, and a group that has to coordinate to make it through.
Why co-op VR appeals so much at this age
In the teenage years, what matters is the group and the story you tell afterwards. Virtual reality changes the game compared to a classic video game: you're not each staring at a screen in your own corner, you're physically immersed in the action, and you have to communicate in real time with the other players to make progress. It's this collective dimension — deciding together, splitting up roles, reacting to the unexpected — that turns the session into a memory rather than mere entertainment. For a group of teens looking for something other than a classic birthday, the surprise effect does the rest.
How the Virtual Room gift voucher works
The principle is simple: the gift voucher is chosen at CHF 90, 120 or 140, is bought directly online, and remains valid for 12 months from the purchase date. It is stackable — you can combine several to cover a larger group — and usable across several visits, which leaves some flexibility if not all the guests are free on the same day. In practice, that means you can give the gift voucher without knowing the exact party date yet, and let the teenager organise their session with friends whenever they like.
The purchase is made on the brand's own ticketing site, at geneva.virtual-room.com/fr/cheques-cadeaux. This is also the procedure described in more detail on our gift vouchers page, if you're still torn between several activities within the Kalayan group.
Minimum age and accessibility: what parents should know
On age, Virtual Room's Time Travel experience has two levels: Chapter 1 is accessible from age 8, Chapter 2 from age 10. Each session brings together up to 10 players over one hour, which fits well with a classic birthday format among friends.
For practical organisation: the Lombard car park is nearby, and public transport serves the site directly — Hôpital stop (lines 1, 5, 7, 91, 96) or Place Claparède (lines 3, 7, 20, 92). The premises are described as accessible, but the experiences themselves aren't recommended for wheelchair users, for safety reasons linked to movement during the game. A point to anticipate if one of the guests has specific needs.
For a bigger birthday or a wish to vary the activities, also have a look at our birthdays guide, which compares the group's different formats by age and group size.
