The contact form
When you use the site's contact form, we receive your name, your email address, an optional subject and the message you write. This information is sent by email to a Kalayan address and is not stored in any database: it lives in your inbox and ours, like any other email. Sending goes through the servers of our host, Gandi SAS (see "Hosting" below), which acts here as a technical subprocessor.
This information is used solely to respond to your request. We do not use it for any other purpose, do not share it with anyone other than Gandi (for email delivery), and do not keep it beyond the time needed to process your request and reply to it.
The form also contains an invisible field, not displayed on screen and never filled in by someone browsing normally. It is only used to detect bots that fill in every field they find on the page; if this field is filled in, the message is discarded and not sent.
The activities map
The map shown on the homepage relies on Google Maps. The program (SDK) that displays it is only loaded when you scroll close to that section, not as soon as you arrive on the site. Once loaded, this program belongs to Google: it may set cookies and process your device's IP address, according to Google's own rules, which we do not control.
Gift vouchers (4escape and Adyen)
The gift vouchers page displays a shop provided by 4escape, our ticketing provider, acting as a subprocessor. The program that displays it belongs to 4escape: it may set cookies and process your device's IP address, according to 4escape's own rules, which we do not control.
If you buy a gift voucher, payment is handled by Adyen, a payment provider integrated directly into the 4escape shop (the card form is displayed on our page, but processed on Adyen's systems): the kalayan.ch website never receives or stores your payment details.
Newsletter
The newsletter sign-up form present on the previous site is disabled on kalayan.ch: it does not collect any email address. Kalayan's newsletters are prepared and sent separately by Kalayan's communications team, via the Mailjet platform, to people who signed up through a channel other than this site. If you receive a Kalayan newsletter, the unsubscribe link is at the bottom of each email.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Gandi SAS, 63-65 boulevard Masséna, 75013 Paris, France. Data passing through the site (contact form) is therefore processed on servers located in France.
Your rights
In accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, for individuals in the European Union, the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, object to and port the data you have provided us. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at event@kalayan.ch or call us at +41 22 320 17 70.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), the competent Swiss authority.
